OUR STORY
Born from curiosity, built by hand
THE ORIGIN OF WATCHLABMY
It didn’t start in some fancy workshop, it started right here in KL, Malaysia. A small used table, a pair of cheap tweezers, and an old Seiko that I kept breaking and rebuilding again.
I didn’t come from a watchmaking family. I just fell into it. I loved the look of luxury watches, but not the price... and the more I learned, the more I realized it wasn’t about the name. It was about the craft, the detail, the satisfaction of saying, “I built this.”
One watch became two, then ten, then a hundred. Along the way, I found a small community of people just like me! People who love watches not for status, but for the story.
That’s what WatchLabMY is about. It’s not a brand. It’s a space for people who believe great design doesn’t need to cost thousands. It’s for those who’d rather build something real than buy something just for the logo.
Every piece here is made with patience, curiosity, and a bit of Malaysian stubbornness. Because when we say “buat sendiri,” we really mean it.
WHY WE DO THIS
Because watches aren’t just about time... they’re about taste.
Most of us grew up seeing the big brands behind glass, price tags that didn’t even make sense. But we still wanted that feeling - the weight on your wrist, the detail, the story.
So, we built our own way in.
Every build at WatchLabMY comes from that same feeling - wanting something solid, and stylish, without paying for a logo.
This isn’t luxury for the few. It’s craftsmanship for anyone who appreciates good design, clean work, and local heart.
HOW WE BUILD
We don’t rush. We don’t outsource. We build every piece here, by hand, in Malaysia.
Every case polished, every dial aligned, every movement tested until it runs steady macam jam Swiss, tapi hati Malaysia.
From the tools to the finishing touches, everything is done with patience and intention.
You’ll see small details others don’t bother with... and that’s the point.
We’re not chasing perfection; we’re chasing character. Each watch carries a bit of us - the late nights, the coffee stains, the stubbornness that says, “I can make this better.”
